AoEII used to work in 2005 or so, IIRC, shouldn't be broken. Other people had the same issue: https://www.reddit.com/r/linux_gaming/comments/9hijta/comment/e6eschf/?forc… But their solutions didn't work (making a 32 bit wine prefix, running it there. Same error). Intel graphics card. Debian/Devuan very stable LTS. Wine just to just work, but the only thing that works for me now is Unreal and Unreal Tournament (they must have had very careful programmers). I thought AoE II would work too since it's a simple 2d game. Even though AoEII used to work fine in 2009 (everything worked fine back then). So I tried it on wine 10.1 on Mac OS. Doesn't work either. (this is a similar bug to https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=59701 , but is on a different OS and a different newer wine version) NOTHING WORKS ON WINE ANYMORE. What the _HELL_ happened? This used to be a great opensource project. Back when gen X and millenials were working on it. Zoomers threw most of the millenial and gen X "old men" (sorry "old maaallleesss" as they call them) out of their own projects (even RMS... though he's pre-gen X): and now there are only excuses given, everythings in a state of flux and broken. We had a time, Gen X and Millenials, where we collectively made a good stable and secure system. 2009. Had Grsecurity, working wine, Xorg, etc. Hans Reiser was still respected for what he contributed (first Journaling FS for Linux). "Show us the code" was still the ideal. Now it's all about "pad my resume" "Be an Indian Woman ruling over Debian" "hire random guy called Appplebaum to head Tor" "f the pale and stale mysogninsts who created free software, especially RMS!!!" etc etc It's been brigaded and taken over. The consensus cracked, because the people who actually did the programming work are no-longer the rulers of the projects: other "managers" are. I receive a notice that there's an error and Battle.net has to shut down. I close it, and the error shows up again. This continues in a cycle until I use "wineserver -k" to exit. The backtrace saved from this has been attached. I am able to use the Settings button on the login screen for the Battle.net app, as well as typing in a username/password, but I cannot go any farther than that because there is no submit button and it doesn't seem to want to load. Be aware that I had previously been loading Starcraft II directly using the SC2Switcher.exe executable, but because a new version needs to be downloaded, I'm needing to get into the Battle.net app. Not sure if not using the app is a side effect. Issue can be worked around by manually increasing the dimensions by 2 pixels, i.e. either `AutoSize` does not correctly take framing into account. Or even more likely, `AutoSize` has an issue with measuring and rounding font size, e.g. `Math.Round()` rather than `Math.Ceil()`.
