OK, sorry then.
Did you try with the patch mentioned above, which adds the "MountedDevices"
registry key?
Regards

No, it does not work with sane... there's no driver in sane for this scanner.
My intention was to emulate the windows driver and (perhaps) port it to sane.
I thought that wine was able to emulate TWAIN+the scanner's driver. If it's not
the case, you can close this bug.
Thanks for your support !

Could someone please explain how 10059 is a duplicate of this? 10059 is about
login boxes being too small, and login boxes are not rendered with DirectX?

NOT FIXED!
HL2DM still crashes without the patch.
People - Please not when testing this bug - **offline game works with source
games, it always had**. This bug occurs when playing **online**, and ONLY then.
And only when displaying another player (the another players name). Nothing
else triggers this with HL2DM. You can play fine online... alone. Or avoiding
other players :)
If CS:Source _really_ works with *online* too now, great, but hl2dm does not,
it still requires the font patch and nothing is fixed.

Heh. Nice work, thanks for doing the regression search!
Targeting for 1.0 (since we should fix regressions if they're not too hard).

I didn't forget that at all, because there is no error code displayed
whatsoever. I did some more experimenting, and I get the same error message,
the one I posted above, no matter if the CD is in the drive or not, or whether
I run the RCT3plus.exe executable directly or use the CD-based Autorun.exe menu
to try to start the program.
There is no error code, only the message exactly as displayed above. Nothing
else. :/

Hi James,
I have bad news for you. :)
I did the Regression Test and started at wine-0.9.4 (because it was the first
version after Vitaly stated one should use CVS because it was fixed on
2005-12-07) and wine-0.9.44 as the first "bad" version (also taken from this
bug report.)
And... *drumroll* after two days of compilation (~90 Min initially for the
first 5 compiles, even WITH CCache and 18 Min for the last ones with CCache :))
I was able to find the first bad patch. Guess who wrote it? :P
1647de570bedb0052359075367e49dbae5ecc7b6 is first bad commit
commit 1647de570bedb0052359075367e49dbae5ecc7b6
Author: James Hawkins <truiken(a)gmail.com>
Date: Thu Jul 5 17:56:22 2007 -0700

So I hope that helps. wine-0.9.40-132-g1647de5 is still broken, but
wine-0.9.40-131-g6b97f89 should do fine as far as I see it. Or I might be wrong
about the version numbers, but you have the bad commit now and can fix the
regression quite fast. :)
It is also interesting, that the regression is rather fresh (.40 is not far
from .49), thus I guess nobody noticed the bug yet.
I hope that's helping you a lot and of course, I hope hearing from you. :)
