I don't think it's a display issue; I suppose input is lost because attempting to login afterwards results in "no such user" error. Attempting to use the clipboard to paste username or password also fails. I'm not sure if it's purely a keyboard issue, or it's just that the edit boxes don't get focus for some reason (clicking on them doesn't appear to do anything). The background windows seems to completely cover them UNLESS virtual desktop (800x600 or larger) is enabled. So I splitted the compressed log file.
