[Bug 8353] New: Unhandled exception error during civilization 3 complete edition installation

I have also tried wine 0.9.15 and although I get the splash screen on that version, it still crashes out. Currently using wine 0.9.36 Ubuntu Package. It seems that you have only a symbol font, and Wine needs something like Arial installed. Did you try to install the microsoft core TTF font pack?
