Invisible Cortana with GLSL off
Disabling GLSL seems to fix most of the invisible objects, only a few things
remain invisible. Cortana and the Force Fields are the ones I've noticed so
far.

Screenshot of it with GLSL disabled
-use14 didn't do anything for me, I had to manually disable GLSL in the
registry. As you said it fixes the random ones but it doesn't seem to fix it
for people (it appears around the ground where people are.

Does a bug already exist for this issue then? If not the bug is still valid.

On windows:
downloaded earth2150demo.exe to desktop
double clicked earth2150demo.exe
Follow prompts with default options until the graphics test.
Choose OpenGl (any resolution)
Success.
On wine:
downloaded earth2150.exe to ~
open terminal
$ wine earth2150.exe
Follow prompts with default options until the graphics test.
Choose OpenGl (any resolution)
Fails.
(If you then cd to ~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/SSI/Earth 2150 Demo and run
$wine earth2150demo.exe the test works.)
Like I said, this works under windows. I could try executing it from the wine
desktop folder, but I highly doubt Windows would allow this to work if run from
the desktop and nowhere else.

Hi Gil, i could not find anything really suspicious in that log, so this must be
different from bug #5024. I couldn't even find any reference to that file
Oblivion.ini, so maybe it's not generated during install, but only when the
application starts?
