Yeah, this shouldn't be an issue anymore. As for the other bug: faultrep.dll is
also present in wine now, so a;; reported bugs should be fixed now. Please
reopen this bug if the game still runs into same bugs

As Kai Blin asked in comment #21, could you please run this command:
WINEDEBUG=+winsock wine your.exe > winsock_trc.txt 2>&1
and post winsock_trc.txt so we can see what is going on with your .exe and
winsock?
Thanks in advance!

Stefan,
Sorry if i´m look aggressive, but thats is not my intention.
I´m a opensource developer too and known exactly about gratitude and
money/effort.
I porting my MFC program to wine, and i really haven´t understand why a
Crossofice from 6 month ago was running my player better than a new wine.
But now i understand the No hack police, thanks for your work, and sorry about
my attitude !
BTW, should you guide me telling where is the hack located in surface_gdi.c ?
Is the x11_copy_from_screen ?
Thanks again !

B&W2 v1.2
Recorded on a 2.6.23.9 kernel, ATI 1250 on board card, driver is fglrx 7.11.
better results with wine 0.9.58 and ati driver 8.47.3:
- menu now works, only the cursor is to slow
- intro runs fine
but still crashs after the intro

Feel free to download the CrossOver source code and create your wine branch
with that hack. The hack is in dlls/wined3d/surface_gdi.c
Wine has a no-hacks policy, mainly because as soon as we start committing this
one hack hundreds others will come and Wine is unmaintainable within weeks.
Since Wine is open source you're free to branch and give it a try.
As for the "wine is for Codewearvers profit", I could stop submitting anything
back and enjoy your comments afterwards(Hint: 99.9% of our work goes into Wine)

Not as such - vanilla 0.9.58 install on opensuse 10.3 on an x86 system; I
purposefully keep it unmodified for testing purposes. I'll check the graphics
card on my home machine but I'm fairly certain it's a low-powered nVidia card
with the proprietary drivers; the same card definitely runs the game on
Windows.
