Summary: Change virtual desktop resolution doesn't work.
Product: Wine
Version: 1.0-rc1
Platform: PC-x86-64
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: eddie(a)lania.nl
When I enable the option "Emulate a virtual desktop" for C&C95.EXE the game is
being displayed in a virtual desktop. However, if I change the Desktop
resolution to 1024 x 768 or 1280 x 1024 for the same application, the virtual
desktop resolution does not change when started afterwards.

Well, the ntoskrnl.exe still crashes but not because of
"unimplemented function ntoskrnl.exe.memset"
and the game starts :)

Yup. Demo 9 works for me too.
Unfortunately the change between 9 and 10 is to switch to a newer version of
the Torque engine. Doesn't help much much ;)

DirectPlay registry values
OK, I registered here only for posting this solution ;). I got the same
problems while trying to play Total Annihilation. I used dxdiag 5.00.2134.0001
from my Windows 2000 (SP4+Rollup1) installation to check Directplay. It's true
that you need to follow the instructions from Nick in comment #3, but this
didn't resolved the problem for me. TCP/IP still didn't work in TA and dxdiag
showed up errors in the DirectPlay tab. You need the right DLLs AND the correct
registry values which I have attached.
Greetings :)

When a service is created, advapi32.dll send the data via RPC to "services.exe"
So the correct location to handle the key: programs/services/service.c
(#152: save_service_config)
The debug channel is: +service
