I've additionally added other directplay dll's from archive noted in WBC workaround. And also reinitialized ALSA sound system in winecfg. I have just built Wine 0.9.61 under Gentoo. I fired up my copy of Quickbooks, which appeared to work but still generated some diagnostic output as QB started (attached). The version of QB that I am running is 3.0. I know that it is old, but the debug trace indicates that there are still problems with your emulation, so I though that this was worth submitting. Last time that I tried this it did not work at all. The file system that QB resides on is a real NT4 system, Samba mounted on to Linux-gentoo/x86. I have done some fiddling around with QB under Wine. It appears to work OK, but I have not tried doing any transactions that update the data files. I always suffer a severe performance drop when there is fog or I am in an open area. The fps can drop from 5x fps to fps lower than 20, sometimes even less than 10 and make the game unplayable. I tried to lower the setting and resolution but they don't help. It looks like this is a CPU-limited issue.
