Wine windows stay on top even though they are not active
I use Beyond Compare windows app on Wine 1.1.0 installed on an OpenSUSE 10.3
system with KDE. (I also tested this by using a copy of notepad.exe from a
windows PC to confirm the bug) When a Wine window is displayed, it stays on top
even though I set a different application as the active application. See
attached screenshot.

Notepad minimized to top left corner of screen
I use Beyond Compare in Wine 1.1.0 in OpenSUSE 10.3 with KDE desktop. When I
minimize the app (I verified this by copying notepad.exe from a Windows PC and
using it), I do not get the expected result. In stead I get an icon somewhere
on my screen which moves back the when I try to drag it to another place.
Usually it ends up right on the menu button on the task bar, but when I
verified it with notepad, it showed up in the left upper corner of my desktop.
Please look at attached screenshots.

Not quite a fix, but a workaround...

The actual stats for me:
Starting a new game and wine crashes when the window for the player name should
pop up
Loading a game and wine crashes when a windows for a city name should pop up
With the change from #3 (removing from dlls/user/focus.c line 66: SendMessageW(
hwnd, WM_SETFOCUS, (WPARAM)previous, 0 );):
Starting a new game and just hitting enter for the player name does start the
game, any try to change it crashes the game without closing the window. After
starting the game, wine crashes while a window for a city name pops up and is
shown. The crash happens without closing the civilisation windows.

I think bug 9667 is also a result of this problem

I think this problem is getting worse. i have to verify the game cache every
time (easily reproduceable) I exit halflife 2 episode 2 (for me it doesn't
occur on half life 2). i think the game is not cleanly shutdown when you quit
and so it throws a flag up and displays the error message we are seeing, until
we check the game cache. not sure though because I'm not a programmer.
