After update to ubuntu 8.10 it looks like some sprites are missing some are smashed. The application gives you the ability to switch between audio engines, I used the BASS engine (default engine). I have added logs as an attachment. The easiest way to trigger it is just to open the faction summary window and click on the senate tab. The game also crashes with a similar error when completing the short campaign. I -seem- to remember this working better in the early beta days, but can't get any versions that old to compile anymore.
