Bug ID: 58845
Summary: Mouse position offset in Wine applications after
display resolution change via VNC session (e.g.
Notepad)
Product: Wine
Version: 10.0
Hardware: x86-64
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
Reporter: rikul(a)inbox.ru
Distribution: ---
When running a Wine application (for example, Wine’s own Notepad) inside a
remote session (such as VNC) that supports dynamic resolution changes, mouse
coordinates become desynchronized after resizing the remote desktop.
After a screen resolution change triggered by resizing the VNC client window,
mouse clicks no longer align with the visual elements of the Wine window —
e.g., clicking on menu items doesn’t work because the clickable area is
shifted.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Start a Linux desktop session that supports dynamic resolution change (for
example, through a VNC server such as tigervnc-server).
2. Connect to this session using a VNC client that can adjust resolution when
the window is resized.
3. Launch Wine Notepad.
4. Resize the VNC client window to a smaller size so that the Linux desktop
resolution changes accordingly.
5. Then maximize the VNC client window again to restore a larger resolution.
Actual result:
* The mouse pointer no longer matches the clickable positions in the Wine
window.
* For example, clicking on the “File” menu in Notepad does nothing or opens the
wrong menu item.
* The cursor appears visually over one element, but Wine receives input at a
different coordinate.
Expected behavior:
After the display resolution changes, Wine should correctly update coordinate
mappings so that mouse input remains aligned with visible UI elements.
Testing environment:
Wine version: 10.0+ (also tested on latest master)
Distribution: RHEL 7.9, Rocky Linux 8.10, Rocky Linux 9.6.
VNC server: tigervnc-server
VNC client: TigerVNC Viewer
Display server: X11
Architecture: x86_64

The games in the title are part of the C&C Ultimate Collection and I tested
with the Steam version.
C&C Tiberian Sun shows the intro videos and the main menu correctly but
selecting any buttons in the menu displays only a black rectangle when the menu
is opened.
In C&C Red Alert II the whole screen is black when the main menu is loaded.
This is a regression from Wine-10.16 and reverting
commit 36f4400badc14014921d238d3a02f386c47277fa
fixes the problem for me in both games.

Summary: Plane9 Music visualizer, major FPS drops after 10.14

Hi,
Plane9 is an amazing music visualizer and I use it all the time. In my current
version of wine 10.14 it is locked to 60 FPS (the HZ of respective screen) but
every update after 10.14 (.15, .16 and .17) the application has dropped to 25
FPS (60ms) and 20 FPS in fullscreen mode, this number is a bit higher on my HD
monitor compared to the 4k ones.
Plane9 is an openGL applicaiton and I got the FPS from mangohud. I've tested
plane9 in each version has they come out with the same result. For .17 a new
mono version was added and I also tried it with that, no luck.
I appolgize if the bug is a general openGL one that I simply do not know about.

Bug ID: 44827
Summary: FL Studio: 32-bit/64-bit VST plugin bit bridging soft
locks the host
Product: Wine
Version: 3.4
Hardware: x86-64
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
Reporter: ajduck(a)outlook.com
Distribution: ---
Trying to bridge a 32-bit VST plugin in FL Studio 64-bit, or bridge a 64-bit
VST plugin in FL Studio 32-bit, leads to this being outputted:
003c:err:ntdll:RtlpWaitForCriticalSection section 0x1ac6028 "?" wait timed out
in thread 003c, blocked by 002a, retrying (60 sec)
And the DAW soft locks with a loading cursor as it blocks the UI until the
plugin's loaded, forever trying to bridge the plugin.
(By "soft lock", I mean that FL Studio itself is still responsive, but you're
completely blocked from doing anything and the only way to get out of it is to
kill the process.)
======
Steps to reproduce:
1. Download and install FL Studio 12 Demo:
https://support.image-line.com/redirect/FLStudio_Installer_Google
The demo and the full version are the same executable.
You will need the Arial font or any ttf named as arial.ttf in
"C:/Windows/fonts/". If you have Winetricks just run "winetricks corefonts"
(you will need the cabextract package).
2. Download any 32-bit or 64-bit VST to test.
This is the one I tried, a 32-bit plugin (http://veg.by/en/projects/syxg50/).
The plugin itself is working perfectly. You can use any VST you want, as long
as you know whether it's 32-bit or 64-bit.
Put the dll file in "~/.wineprefix/drive_c/Program Files
(x86)/Steinberg/VstPlugins/".
3. Open the FL Studio version which DOESN'T match the instruction set of the
VST you're using. If you're using a 32-bit VST plugin, open FL Studio 12
(64-bit). If you're using a 64-bit VST plugin, open FL Studio 12 (32-bit). (If
you're using the VST I linked to, open FL Studio 12 (64-bit))
4. When FL Studio is launched for the first time, a featured project file is
automatically loaded. Click "File" in the top left corner and then "New" to
create an empty project.
5. Click "Options" > "Manage Plugins"
6. Click the "Start scan" button with "Verify plugins" enabled (make sure the
light is red). Let it scan for plugins.
7. Close the window, click "Add", and then "More plugins..." (under System)
8. Find and select "S-YXG50" (or if you used another VST, pick that).
9. Because the instruction set of the VST plugin doesn't match the host
program's (FL Studio), FL Studio will try to run the VST plugin under a
"bridge" (which uses ilbridge.exe, the bridging program installed as part of FL
Studio). However, the plugin never loads. The UI blocks any interaction while
plugins are being loaded so FL Studio is effectively soft locked.
