Steps to reproduce: launch HWiNFO64.exe, in the intro window click on Settings, hover the mouse over a setting (tooltip works correctly and doesn't disappear at first), then hover the mouse over another setting. Pressing repeatedly TAB key does not iterate over all window elements. In ReactOS & Wine only links are selected while M$ Windows focuses buttons and checkboxes too. This issue may apply system-wide to other 3rd party applications however I noticed it first in μTorrent 2.2.1 (25302). Did not notice that using Wine apps. But in Wine 3.5, DirectX crashes in the beginning of installing and says "Internal system error occured. Please refer to DXError.log and DirectX.log in your Windows folder to determine problems". And now I have to create the game prefix by any other command like winecfg and install DirectX in this already created prefix, it doesn't crash in this way. In this application, the edit control TEdit can display a given charset. With Wine 1.7.49, this does not work. The attached image shows a demo application displaying this problem: on the left side Windows 7, on the right side Wine 1.7.49 (under Linux Mint 17.1). The charset of the five components is "EASTEUROPE_CHARSET". The yellow rectangle shows the problem with wine. P.S. As TButton is a wrapper around a Windows control, the charset does not work. In Windows if dragging the open file dialog to a new location, on the next time it is opened it will be opened at the same location. In Wine it is always opened at the top left corner of the application. This is quite inconvenient on a big screen with maximized app. Note that when resizing the dialog, wine does remember the size on the next open so hopefully the position could be a slight extension to this. This one is just a proposal for a global setting tho so I thought it deserves it's own issue. It's just way too much of a hassle to set a theme up to each prefix. Currently there's 3 ways of theming wine that I'm aware of. 1. .reg files 2. .msstyle/.theme files 3. That 1 experimental GTK3 theming patch that's been in staging for ages (broken on most installs) My proposal is that every single prefix uses the same directory to check for `theme.reg/.msstyle/.theme` files in one of these directories; `~/.config/wine` `~/.local/share/wine/` `$HOME/` (would have to be named wine_theme for this to not be confusing) Also does anybody know a way I can contact upstream people quickly? When running the install with the command "wine start /unix '/run/media/mark/USB DISK/Paintshop Pro/Paintshop Pro Ultimate 2018/psp2018_ult/Setup.exe'" the install crashes while on the fist screen of the setup that announces the installation wizard is starting. Perhaps a newer version of Wine would fix the issue. I also have different versions of Paintshop Pro that I could try as I have been using it under Windows for years. I am extremely new to Wine after trying in a it back in 1997 so I might be able to fiddle and get the install to run. I am running OpenSuse Leap 15.2 and installed their package of wine with command, "zypper install wine." This aborts the process immediately. Reproduced on both GE-Proton10-34 (Wine 10.0 Staging) and system Wine 11.8. GStreamer warnings immediately preceding the crash: gldownloadelement0: transform_caps returned caps which are not a real subset of the filter caps glcolorconvertelement1: transform_caps returned caps which are not a real subset of the filter caps gldeinterlace0: transform_caps returned caps which are not a real subset of the filter caps capsfilter1: transform_caps returned caps which are not a real subset of the filter caps Steps to reproduce: 1. Launch the game (KrKr engine) under Wine/Proton 2. Reach the opening movie (OP) — the game uses a video.xp3 archive containing WMV/ASF video 3. Game crashes with the assertion What was expected: Video plays normally. Dear Wine Development Staff I write to you, bringing up a pressing matter regarding Fusion360's ability to run on wine 11.8. Upon opening Fusion360 (Latest release, 5, 11, 2026), I'm met with an immediate--unmistakable crash alert from a wine debug window, informing of the leading events toward the crash exception, outlined in ambiguous descriptions, and detailed hex dumps. I'm unable to resolve the issue myself, as I lack the expertise to properly diagnose the crash. I can confirm with absolute clarity, that the root of the issue stems from a deficiency in wine's mimicked windows subsystem, not the integrity of my system. As Fusion has a-long history of failing to launch for each consecutive update. The reason for why I bring such an issue as this, is because I request that this bug be vanquished from wine's subsystem, thus giving rise to the potential of resolving a whole host of breakages relating to proprietary code, which may be shared amidst many more applications beyond my knowledge.
