We do have a limited way of detecting the card type, but it will not be exact. We could possibly improve your card detection. Send a log with WINEDEBUG=+d3d_caps set. Although your ATI card is listed in the detection code, so the program may be doing something a bit more unusual. Perhaps the card is too new for the game to recognize. bleh... Then updated to a newer wine (0.9.21) and got a problem with some graphics-application (see the log to be attached).
