Perhaps this is redundant, but running iTunes also starts Quicktime, and also
causes the screen to go black.

Seems to be a duplicate of 9498. Patch attached to that bug report should
prevent the crash.

saturn
It opens here now. I just think you have to install the correct codecs. I
copied divx.dll and dpl100.dll to system32 , and added registry key
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Drivers32, and put in string
value "vidc.yv12" = "divx.dll".
Could you try and report back please?

Another try...
You're right, is is green. Something went wrong when cutting my large avi file.
Here is another part, and it really shows saturn, at least when viewing it with
mplayer or xine.

So it seems we need a NULL check for glGetString and other functions. Wrt the
mode list, I see that too, that's propably because VNC can't change the video
mode. A workaround is to run the app in a virtual desktop, or windowed mode.

is it supposed to look like this?
Hi, i fiddled around a bit with settings, and at least i can preview and open
it. But is it supposed to be a "totallly green" avi??. (I was expecting to see
saturn ; )). If you can confirm it looks like this, i'll try to find out what i
did again ;)

The easiest way to test if you have NPTL or not is 'getconf
GNU_LIBPTHREAD_VERSION'

However, when you use Wine Help as a standalone version to open a help file you
often get crashes with the open file dialogue, esp. when accessing the wine
drive_c folder.
