I just think you have to install the correct codecs. I copied divx.dll and dpl100.dll to system32 , and added registry key HKLM\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Drivers32, and put in string value "vidc.yv12" = "divx.dll". Wrt the mode list, I see that too, that's propably because VNC can't change the video mode. Hi, i fiddled around a bit with settings, and at least i can preview and open it. But is it supposed to be a "totallly green" avi??. (I was expecting to see saturn ; )).
