Hm, that doesn't tell me much (or that it's actually an MSI bug.) 1723 is
RPC_S_SERVER_TOO_BUSY, maybe you could post a +rpc log instead?

I can confirm that using:
nice -n 19 wine Steam.exe
will get past the 26% problem under wine-0.9.44 on my Gentoo system.

Hmm. Today it doesn't seem to be playing back with DNS 9.
I get a long series of
err:mmio:MMIO_ParseExtA No . in szFileName: "\xde\x01 "
err:mmio:MMIO_ParseExtA No . in szFileName: ""
on the console while trying to play back the test recording.
This is with today's git; all I did was
rm -rf ~/.wine
winetricks dcom98
wine /media/cdrom/setup.exe
winecfg (and select audio / OSS)
wine .wine/drive_c/.../natspeak.exe

As far as my testing goes, with latest git, the bug is not fixed.

Hmm. For me, this only crashes at high resolutions, 1024x768 and 1152x864 works
fine, higher gets the crash.
