I was faced with random crashes during online games. Offline/local games
didn't crash (left a local server running in spectator mode overnight with no
issues), but as soon as I went into online games I would crash anywhere from 20
seconds to 10 minutes into the game.
I was able to fix this issue by setting hl2.exe to run in win98 mode. I am
guessing that the issue with directx and fonts is not being used with this
version of windows?
I am now able to play online for very extended periods of time (tested 4 hours
spectating a server+1 to 2 hours of actual play) with no disconnects, freezing
or other issues.

i'd like to add the following observations using Wine 1.1.2 in Ubuntu 8.04
"Hardy":
Symptom:
The application's graphics slow to a halt after a few seconds and fail to
update afterward unless movement of the mouse is initiated over the
application's window.
Expected Result:
Unhindered update of application's screen.
Actual result:
Reason graphics update concurrent with mouse movement over the window.

Unfortunately the Logitech G25's force feedback isn't supported by the kernel
yet, so I won't be able to test until that happens. Thanks for the update
Vitaliy. :)

I get the exact same error message when running "Mordor: the depths of
Dejenol". "This application uses WavMix16.DLL which has not been installed
correctly". The error persists even if I copy the files to the indicated
locations. Should we maybe split the wavmix16-part of this bug out to its own
bugtracker?

This is still an issue. My app (Mordor: the depths of dejenol, a game) failed
with a message about needing DDE: ddeml.dll to run.
touch $WINEPREFIX/windows/system/ddeml.dll did not make any difference.
Reverting the mentioned patch did the trick though. Using wine-1.1.2.

Huge fonts in GTK+ 2.0 program
I'm trying to run a simple GTK+ program, but there is something wrong with
fonts! They're really HUGE! It's just like wine uses the 1200dpi resolution.
There is a screenshot in attachment.
It's working ok when I recompiling and running it directly in linux.
I'm using a GTK+ 2.10 in my native environment and GTK+ 2.12 Win32 version
under wine.
P.S. Really sorry for my english ;)

CreateTimerQueue is now implemented, see
http://www.winehq.org/pipermail/wine-cvs/2008-July/045724.html
Can you retest with wine-1.1.2?
