Summary: Windows Installer creates Game Explorer shortcuts in

plain terminal output (Dungeons demo installer)
After a successful installation of the demo (Dungeons) one can notice that two
directories were created in the root of drive_c: during installation.
One is named "0" containing a shortcut "Play.lnk"
The other directory is named "1" containing a shortcut "Continue play.lnk"
If I'm not mistaken, they should belong to the Game Explorer stuff.
I don't have Vista or Seven only a Windows XP running in Virtualbox. After
installation those shortcuts went into
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application
Data\Microsoft\Windows\GameExplorer\{BB112F90-7C81-4352-8823-861D3957CF8A}\PlayTasks
I guess in Wine they should go into:
/users/Public/Application
Data/Microsoft/Windows/GameExplorer/{BB112F90-7C81-4352-8823-861D3957CF8A}/PlayTasks
At least other games (e.g. Woody Two-Legs) place their Game Explorer shortcuts
there.
I've tried installing the demo with WinXP, Vista and Windows 7 compatibility
modes but the directories were always created in the root directory.
Dungeons demo download link added to URL (~525 MB).

A crash occurs when you quit the game.
The problem is present in 1.0.1, 1.2.3 and so on.
I have the 1.15new version of the game.
The crash can be reproduced in the demo, too but the demo suffers from bug
#11782.
1) Install the demo as usual.
2) You will probably need a modified ddraw.dll, available here:
http://www.gsc-game.com/index.php?t=downloads&ss=299&s=patch
3) Run the executable, it will extract a ddraw.dll. Place it in the game
directory and override ddraw.dll to native, builtin in winecfg.
4) Start the game by dmcr.exe, click on Exit in the main menu >> a page fault
is generated.

Neither the intro videos (company logos) nor the in-game cutscenes are playing
in Megarace 3: Wine simply skips the videos without an error message. It's a
pity because there are some hilarious cutscenes in the game, featuring Lance
Boyle as the host of the game.
The company logos which should be played right after starting have the
following properties:
Video: WMV v7, 640x480 px, 4:3
Audio: WMA v7, 128 kbps, 44 kHz, Stereo, 16 bits
The cutscenes in the game are separated into 2 files:
a wmv file which also includes an audio track (WMV v7 / WMA v7)
and a corresponding wav file (ADPCM, Stereo, 22 kHz)
After installing WMP9 or 10 via winetricks the videos are still not playing.
The demo can be used to test the issue but it contains only one of the company
logos.

When is done the creation of database happen an crash showing the error message
below and close the software.

Seeing in some sites is as if is related with net framework.
Some WINE previous versions the software run perfectly without errors.
Perhaps is related with wine-mono ?

fixes the problem for me.
Installing native msxml3 also acts as a workaround.
Can be reproduced with the demo version.

Log
After using Fighter Factory 3 for some time, window graphics such as drop-down
menus stop displaying correctly. Closing and reopening the app fixes this. I am
using Linux Mint with an NVIDIA GPU and an Intel CPU. I also use a patched exe
to fix a programming bug on all OSes that prevents you from running multiple
Mugen test instances simultaneously, so I added it as a second download link.

An example application is provided in the URL field. sha1sum:
56e3a30c0f361b1dc34342c418854ef2864f0e21
It depends on LANG=ja_JP.UTF-8.
In this application, the WMV video plays without audio. It might play a few
samples incoherently for a split second, then there is no audio. (The MPEG-1
video has no audio track. Though I think this bug may not occur on mpeg
videos.)
If necessary I can find and link another example application where the thread
also hangs.
MR with regression: https://gitlab.winehq.org/wine/wine/-/merge_requests/6973
Reverting both e6b8e9ee209 ("quartz/dsoundrender: Use send_sample_data() to
fill the buffer with silence at EOS.") and 971a05f10fa ("quartz/dsoundrender:
Queue samples and render them on a separate thread.") avoids the bug. (Only
reverting e6b8e9ee209 does not help)
The issue doesn't occur with
https://gitlab.winehq.org/wine/wine/-/merge_requests/6849 applied on 9.21 (but
in some other applications the audio track starts too early and is
desynchronized from the video, which didn't occur in the (modified to fix other
issues) github/ValveSoftware/wine/bleeding-edge branch).
