Hi,
as this is my first wineconf and I probably won't recognize people, will
there be a meeting point or similar for the gathering on Friday evening?
Kind regards,
Wolfram
Hi all,
Are we planning a key signing party this year? Is anyone organizing it?
Is anyone even interested in it?

Hi!
Dan Kegel told me about this conference and I decided to go :) I want to
know if any of you guys is interested on a talk about the newest verion
of ZeroWine (zerowine.sourceforge.net), the patches I wrote for Wine,
the problems I found with Wine's loader and malware, etc...
Best Regards,
Joxean Koret
Hi all,
I was just wondering how the dutch people were going. I'm assuming most
of them will go with Thalys, but I'm just checking since I still need to
book. It might be fun to meet up in the train or something. ;)
Cheers,
Maarten
I've added a page to the wiki explaining how to participate in a key
signing party, and added to the WineConf2010 page instructions on where
to send the keys. Should I also send an email to wine-devel?
Thanks,
Shachar

Hi all,
I would like to suggest a talk topic, but it requires preparation, so I
would like to know whether there is any interest before I do that
preparation.
I would like to talk about Window's BiDi mirroring of UI. Explain how it
looks, user experience wise, and rant about why it was such a bad move
on Microsoft's side. Would that be an interesting subject for people?
Thanks,
Shachar

Hi,
WineConf 2010 is taking shape: the date has been set and we are now in
the final stages of picking the venue.
The host city: Paris
The date: Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st of November
So mark the date in your calendar and start booking your plane tickets;
this will be the place to be for Wine developers.
Note that most further communication will happen on the
wineconf(a)winehq.org mailing list so subscribe there to get all the
details. You will also find all the details you need as they become
available on WineConf 2010's Wiki page:

Dear All:
I am very much looking forward to going to WineConf this year as I did not
have the opportunity to go previously.
I am looking to book tickets soon and was wondering if there are good times
to arrive and come back.
For example I like Paris and would not mind arriving on Thursday and leaving
perhaps Monday morning or late Sunday but I don't know when others plan to
arrive or leave. Do these sound like reasonable dates?
I dont really know anyone in Paris so I don't want to be there all by
myself.
Looking forward to hearing from all of you.

That sounds like it'd be fun. I'd be up.
Oh and minor technical note - AmEx has chips (I think its a special card).
Anyway I'm hoping to book soon (tomorrow or next day maybe?) but I
guess if people haven't
made plans yet I can wait...
Right now prices are reasonable so...
Thx
