Hmmm... thanks huw! apparently, wine is getting the wrong print command. Printing from kwrite, I see this on the console: cmd1 = /bin/apsprint -P'eng' --format=application/postscript --attrmultiple-document-handling=separate-documents-uncollated-copies whereas using +print in wine I get this message: trace:print:OpenJob16 'LPR:eng' 'Untitled - Notepad' 0b50 trace:print:CreateSpoolFile Got printerSpoolCommand '|lpr -Peng' for output device 'LPR:eng' trying to do an echo "print" | lpr -Peng doesn't create any output from the printer. OK. > how did you generate this stub dll? By hand. :-) Or rather I use Dependency Walker (http://www.dependencywalker.com) to generate a report. Then I just cut and pasted the API names from it.

Hope it'll help you There are 2 things to correct in tools/wineinstall: - Line 291: replace ldconfig by the full path to ldconfig, /sbin/ldconfig. - Line 320: add a space between -c and "$sucommand". They are already corrected in the CVS version, so they won't show up in the next Wine release. Bye, Vincent

Hi there, I got this when trying to run tools/wineinstall ###### Wine build complete. Performing 'make install' as root to install binaries, enter root password Password: /bin/bash: - : unrecognized option Either you entered an incorrect password or we failed to run 'make install' correctly. If you didn't enter an incorrect password then please report this error to wine-devel(a)winehq.com. Installation failed, aborting. ###### My box is linux 2.4.18 with slack-current updated. The command was winedump spec dllname.dll -I/dit/to/headers -c -t -D and it was shown to me by Ove Kaaven. I just forwarded it to you. [Patch tested] TB_REPLACEBITMAP

I just tested Marco Bizzarri's implementation of TB_REPLACEBITMAP ( http://www.winehq.com/hypermail/wine-patches/2001/11/0112.html ). It looks like this patch was neither rejected nor accepted at that time. The patch applies cleanly to sources from wine-cvs-unstripped-042902. I can't tell whether it is technically adequate, but at least it significantly improves wine support for Checkpoint's Firewall-1 GUI (FWPolicy.exe), which might be of interest to many people ( see http://bugs.codeweavers.com/show_bug.cgi?id=185 ). -- Pascal

What application are you using that needs snmpapi.dll ? aol7 uses it. how did you generate this stub dll? This looks to me like it should be changed to nil[1]. Why don't you try to make that change and see if it breaks anything? Since it's in commonctl32, I'm assuming that it's used for clearing IP address entry fields. You might want to try a windows version of telnet. Anyone know what application this function was written for?
