WCHAR). It looks like it is running how it is supposed to. If you look at the script that the winehq service is sending you by going to this url: http://test.winehq.com/service?winrash=winrash-0009-chris-msvc.exe&id=Usurp You'll notice that the only command is 'sleep 3600'. Maybe the winehq service cgi isn't working correctly b/c it should be sending you winetests to run but it does look like winrash is doing the right stuff. Setting the font resolution to 120 or 150 didn't change anything. When I added the lines you mentioned to win.ini only the menu fontsize increased. (But this is what you said.) Some suggestions for winrash: * Running Windows NT version >= 4.XY, we should check for the use of an administrator account... installing as normal user gave these results : no error message said the HKLM keys couldnt be created => UserID & mail not set => service install/run fails silently * http links : the 3 http links fail to open at the end of installation, this has already been reported on wine-users list. Here is a patch that recreates the "Global settings" entry in the app defaults tab if the user removes it. It also fixes some indenting and removes a while() loop that was inside of another identical while(). Hi all, for some reason, the wine debugger just doesn't seem to work for me. wine: Unhandled exception (thread 000f), starting debugger... fixme:console:SetConsoleCtrlHandler (0x405ae990,1) - no error checking or testing yet WineDbg starting on pid 0xe In 32 bit mode. Wine-dbg>bt Backtrace: =>1 0x40107b08 __read+0x28 in libc.so.6 (0x40032c54) 2 0x401cc022 Exception c0000005 The backtrace it shows appears to be from the debugger itself, not from the program? Or am I wrong in assuming this? I am getting this same backtrace for each and every program... Also, the ctrl-c key doesn't work as advertised (just does nothing). Wine is wine cvs from 07/31, gdb is 6.1-3 from debian unstable. The first item in the radio group is "Builtin" meaning that's the one users are most likely to select, it should be "builtin, native" followed by "native, builtin" - We ask the user to understand a magic * symbol to set the default - what is up with that? - There are no helpful default entries in the drop down box for setting a DLL override, and when you add one the tree does not expand so to actually *set* it you have to expand the tree then select the new override. - We have way too many (eg, more than zero) tree controls in this app. - Drive mappings list is really unclear, there's no separation between the "Drive X:" label and the unix path its mapped to. Basically I'd recommend reading the GNOME HIG: http://developer.gnome.org/projects/gup/hig/ it's a very informative read. Obviously we have to use Win32 UI conventions at least at first, but there's a lot of generically good advice there. Well worth reading for anybody who is going to work on winecfg. thanks -mike

c:\\windows is not accessible message

Hi guys, It seems quite a few people have been seeing this message lately, and I'm not sure why. This occurs even with a non-existant ~/.wine directory, so wineprefixcreate should set up a correct system for them. Examples: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/showthread.php?s=&threadid=204255&h… http://forums.devshed.com/archive/t-166324 This one seems to imply that the symlinks aren't being created properly: http://www.winehq.org/hypermail/wine-users/2004/07/0022.html but that sounds like a migration issue rather than something you'd see with a clean .wine If anybody has any ideas I'd love to track this one down. I am wondering if it's to do with packaging, I have never been able to reproduce this with Wine CVS builds (ie from source) but I know some packagers are still shipping custom ~/.wine building scripts. thanks -mike
