msiexec.exe service registration

In msiexec.c, the DoRegServer calls OpenSCManager, however, on a fresh installation, ie no ~/.wine, the HKLM\CurrentControlSet\Services does not yet exist, so that OpenSCManager fails. What is the correct way to guarantee that this key exists? Regards, Jeremy

That could be true. Since it was only used in this one place I was not sure the protocol for adding it to the header file or just as a prototype in this file. Samba by default 'maps' the archive bit on windows to the execute bit on unix, hence any time I modified the file it was turning the execute bit on. To remove it, add 'map archive no' to the share in smb.conf The things you learn! Jason
