I haven't heard about NT4 been taking out of the requirement. I guess the NT4 machines are offline due to the transition to the new testbot (newtestbot.winehq.org) Hopefully the machines are working again on one of the testbots soon, let's wait a bit. With the upcoming code freeze i'd say we need them. maybe someone else can tell more.

Hiya, Its been a while since I did some cmd work and noticed there were some new bugs so am doing some fiddling. The real pain for me was always keeping the tests passing on nt4, so I noted with relief/surprise that the testbot doesnt have an NT4 VM anymore. Is it correct that there is no longer a requirement for tests to pass on NT4 for submission (if it's required, I really need a nt4 testbot!) If not, is there any objection to removing the numerous hacks in the test suite so they run on NT4? Thanks, Jason

Launching the server in responce to say CoCreateInstance is out of our control, happens behind the scene, and the server runs in its own console, so it's impossible make a simple redirection by passing in/out handles to CreateProcess. So using a pipe and a passing its write end via shared memory seems like an obvious solution. Without a mutex client and server output is messed up under Windows. Redefining trace allows to write to the pipe in the server and synchronize server output on the client side. If you have a suggestion how to simplify all of this please let me know. -- Dmitry.
